Broken glass and window retrofits in Victorville.
On The Way Glass is a C17-licensed glazing contractor. We replace broken and failed glass, glaze commercial and industrial buildings, and install retrofit windows that go into the existing opening without cutting the stucco — in Victorville, Apple Valley, Hesperia, Adelanto and out to Barstow.
Three kinds of glass work, and we stick to them
We have narrowed On The Way Glass to the work we want to be known for in the High Desert: replacing broken glass, glazing commercial and industrial buildings, and retrofitting tired aluminum windows. If your job is one of those three, it is squarely our job.
Broken and failed glass
A rock thrown up by the wind, a break-in, a forklift, a fogged dual pane. We measure, match the glass to what the opening requires — tempered where code calls for safety glass, laminated or wired where that was specified — and replace it. If the opening is not secure, tell us when you call.
Commercial and industrial buildings
Warehouses, distribution and logistics buildings, shops, offices, storefronts and apartment complexes. Office and dock-side windows, door glass, storefront systems and insulated units, with documentation of the damage and the glass spec so your insurer, landlord or property manager has a paper trail that matches the invoice.
Retrofit windows
A lot of the High Desert is stucco over original single-pane aluminum windows. A retrofit unit installs inside the existing frame, so the stucco is not cut and the wall is not patched afterward. It is the most direct way from single pane to dual pane, on a house or a commercial building.

The license behind the work
On The Way Glass is the glazing line of On The Way Solutions, formed in Victorville in November 2024. The company holds an active California Contractors State License Board license carrying the C17 classification, which is the state classification specifically for glazing, and it is bonded through Western Surety Company.
We are a newer company, and we would rather say so than pad the page. What we put forward instead is the credential that actually governs this trade: a C17 license you can look up on the CSLB website in about thirty seconds. Broken commercial glass, industrial buildings and retrofit work are where that classification earns its keep — safety-glazing rules, entry-door code and insurance paperwork all come with the job.
We operate as a service-area business and come to the property, which means we can look at the opening, the frame and the hardware before anyone orders glass.

My glass is cracked or broken. What do you need from me?
The size of the opening, whether it is single or dual pane, and whether it is a window, a door or a storefront. A photo of the break and of the glass corners helps: tempered glass carries a small etched stamp in one corner, and it tells us what has to go back in.
What is a retrofit window, and why not full-frame replacement?
A retrofit unit installs into the existing frame and covers its edge with a flange, so the stucco outside and the drywall inside are left alone. Full-frame replacement removes the old frame entirely, which means cutting back and patching stucco. For most aluminum windows in a sound opening, retrofit is the faster and cleaner choice. If the frame is bent, damaged or out of square, we will tell you.
Can a fogged dual-pane window be fixed without replacing the whole window?
Usually. Fogging between the panes means the edge seal on the insulated unit has failed. In most cases the unit is replaced and the existing frame stays.
Do you work on warehouses and industrial buildings?
Yes. Warehouses, distribution and logistics buildings, shops, offices, retail, restaurants, medical suites and apartment complexes. For a property manager with several buildings across the Victor Valley, one number covers all of them.
Do you work on storefront entry doors?
Yes. Commercial entry doors fall under Chapter 11B of the California Building Code, which governs hardware, hinging and how hard a door may be to open. When we reglaze a storefront door we treat the hardware as part of the job, not an afterthought.
How long does a retrofit installation take?
Most residential installations are finished within a day, depending on how many windows there are and what type they are. Commercial retrofits are scheduled around the building's hours.
Glass work across the High Desert
We are based in Victorville and work the High Desert from the Cajon Pass out to Barstow. The glass work looks a little different in each town.
Victorville
Home base. Storefronts and offices along Bear Valley Road and the I-15, industrial and logistics buildings around Southern California Logistics Airport, and decades of stucco homes still on their original aluminum windows.
Apple Valley
Retail and offices along Highway 18, the industrial district on the north side of town, and homes from Spring Valley Lake to the east end where years of wind-blown grit have pitted older glass.
Hesperia
Commercial glass along Main Street and the I-15 corridor, and a large stock of 1980s and ’90s homes on single-pane aluminum — some of the best retrofit candidates in the valley.
Adelanto
Warehouses and industrial buildings along Highway 395 and in the city’s industrial parks, plus newer tract homes where a broken dual pane is usually an insulated-unit swap, not a new window.
Oak Hills
Larger lots at higher elevation, where wind coming off the Cajon Pass works on older frames and seals. A well-sealed retrofit makes a noticeable difference here.
Phelan and Piñon Hills
Around 4,000 feet, with cold winters and steady wind. Single-pane glass costs real money every heating season up here, and a dual-pane retrofit is the direct fix.
Barstow
Where the I-15 meets the I-40. Highway businesses, commercial and industrial buildings and older homes — broken glass is the usual call, and we cover it from Victorville.
Also serving Spring Valley Lake, Helendale and Silver Lakes, Lucerne Valley and El Mirage.
